People think you bang the soccer moms but in fact you bang your head on a table. Gotcha.

Couldn’t agree more. Not just smashing my head.... blowing it up with a H bomb. Especially this week, holy balls I can’t even too much of this sort of week

Why would you want to wrench on a Jaguar? Or do you want to keep on wrenching all day without result getting done? ;-)

That’s basically what I do now, just without the wrenching! May as well get nowhere while doing something enjoyable. Having worked on a particularly ratty ‘64 E-Type, I can attest that Jags are a special kind of frustrating. :) I’m checking into a job at a vintage Ferrari specialist in SoCal, and that’s made me think of how great it’d be to work at Goodwood.

Haha, a friend of mine once bought a Daimler Double Six. for 5K euros. Than had to service it so he took it to the dealer. Guess what? Another 5K euros. So I laughed and made fun of ‘m. Then he showed me...
The. Horror.
Hope the Ferrari-shop goes well for you, awesome!

Yeah, Double Six, my ass! More like the 12 gates to hell. I’ve never tangled with the 5.3, but the XK six is a pretty nice thing. The E-type itself was not exactly designed for ease of maintenance, though.
We’ll see on the other gig, I’ve yet to apply but would have to relocate to SoCal, not my cup of tea. But to work on 250s & the like, at that level... that could be incredible.
